Alexandra Gittens Awarded Nathaniel Boggs Fellowship

Alexandra Gittens Awarded Nathaniel Boggs Fellowship

Congratulations to Alexandra Gittens, a PhD candidate in the Greenberg lab, who has recently been awarded the prestigious Nathaniel Boggs Fellowship. The Nathaniel Boggs, Jr. Ph.D., Memorial Fellowship was established in 1999 by University Trustee Emeritus and alumna Paula Boggs, in memory of her father who received Howard University’s first Ph.D. in biology. The fellowship recognizes outstanding graduate students in STEM fields in the Kreiger school. Alexandra’s leadership in developing and implementing the successful TA Diversity workshop along with her academic accomplishments have exceeded the fellowship expectations and has made her a very worthy candidate for this award.

Congrats again, Alex!
