Assistant Professor of Chemistry Rebekka S. Klausen has won the Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award from the National Science Foundation, Division of Chemistry: Macromolecular, Supramolecular, and Nanochemistry. The five year, $675,000 award supports Prof. Klausen’s research in boron-containing polymers. The Klausen Group developed these unique polymers to enable a new strategy for controlling the physical properties of commercially relevant materials like polystyrene through the controlled introduction of polar functional groups.
