The HIST award of the History of Chemistry Division of the History of Chemistry of the American Chemical Society recognizes an individuals outstanding career of contributions to the history of chemistry and is international in scope. Dr. Principe has been awarded the 2020 HIST award for “his insightful and groundbreaking studies of the actual laboratory chemistry and its documentary presentation in the 17^th and 18^th centuries.”
