Herdeline Ann “Digs” Ardoña (Tovar and Mao group alumna, Ph.D. ’17) was recently named the 12th Irving S. Sigal Postdoctoral Fellow.  This award is offered by the American Chemical Society every two years to support one outstanding postdoctoral scholar doing research at the interface of chemistry and biology.  This award will support Digs’ continued research to profile cardiac functional responses to engineered nanomaterials being conducted with Professor Kevin “Kit” Parker at Harvard University.  Congratulations Digs!
